Guardian Screens provides three options of insect mesh for the retractable roller door & window screens to meet with your specific requirements.
Standard PVC Fibreglass 18/16 Charcoal Mesh
All screens are supplied with standard Fibreglass 18/16 gauge mesh unless otherwise stated. This mesh provides excellent visibility, reduced light glare, and has an approximate 66% openness factor or airflow rate. It is suitable for use in 90% of UK locations. Designed to keep out most flying insects and provides limited shading properties.
PVC Fibreglass 16/17 High Resistant Mesh - Black
The optional Polyester 16/17 High Resistant mesh has a slightly smaller hole size (tighter weave) and has slightly reduced visibility and airflow rate. But designed to be much more durable or robust and helps to protect against damage from cats or dogs. Also provides limited shading properties.
Fibreglass 20/30 Midge Mesh - Charcoal
The optional Fibreglass 20/30 mesh has much smaller hole size (tighter weave) and designed to keep out much smaller insects such as Midges. It has reduced visibility and airflow rate but mainly used in Scottish Highlands and Marshland environments. Provides limited shading properties.
